Can someone recommend any accommodation in the Lake DIstrict National Park? I am looking for a luxury cottage.
I am looking for a spacious luxury cottage with plenty of parking. Ideally near a pub that does food. A bonus would be easy to find and convenient for major attractions in the South Lakes area.
Hi
I strongly recommend you look at this website, you wont be disappointed. http://www.fellviewholidays.com/index.html we stayed here last year at Keepers Cottage and the standard of accommodation is wonderful. There is a fantastic pub called the white lion a few minutes walk, well a few minutes there and a lot longer back!!!!! It isn’t in the south lakes but it is about 15 minutes drive from Ambleside over the kirkstone pass and it is well worth the drive. I have been to the lakes countless times and Keepers Cottage was the finest cottage I have stayed in. Very romantic.
Hope this helps and Happy Camping!!

There is a lovely pub by Windermere Lake – Opposite the Beatrix Potter Museum. We’ve been up there a few times and it serves really nice food and it’s fairly cheap too, but there are absolutely loads of restaurants in that place (pizza, bistro etc) . Ambleside is nice too. Anywhere round there. We stayed in the Old Grammar School house round there, it was ok not a cottage though, B&B.

I highly recommend Heights View in Haverthwaite , directly opposite the Steam railway station. I stayed there last summer. It is convenient to find and within 25 mins drive of most Sth Lakes attractions. Look at their website on http://www.cottage-bookers.com/heightsview

Try looking on the Crake Valley website, I think it’s http://www.crakevalley.co.uk. There are some lovely holiday cottages round there. If you come try the Armadale at Arrad Foot, excellent food, I know, my husband is one of the chefs!
