Can you recommend a small boutique hotel in Paris that is clean, friendly and not too expensive?

February 6, 2010 - 5:10 am 3 Comments

My favorite little boutique in the Opera district is booked. IMy girls and I like small intimate boutique hotels and would appreciate suggestions. It is for Fashion Week.

The Hotel Lutetia is beautiful. You can get a room for about 180 euroes. It has some sister hotels as well. Check on the Concorde Hotels website. The breakfast is ridiculously expensive, but there are lots of cafes nearby. I love the little eclair/chocolate shop around the corner. Plus the Lutetia is just 2 blocks from the Bon Marche.

New York City boutique hotels under $350 per night in October?

February 2, 2010 - 10:14 am 4 Comments

I’m looking for suggestions about which hotel my wife and I should stay at in NY city during the second week of October. We don’t want to spend more than $300-$350 per night, less if possible, but we want high quality.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
