What is the best way to get a hotel from an airport without using a rental car?

February 9, 2010 - 7:56 pm 12 Comments

My wife and I are planning a trip to Orlando. We want to visit all Disney Parks and Seaworld. I found a Hotel that gives free shuttles to all those destinations, but the Hotel is like 20 miles away from the airport. I don’t want to pay for a rental car for a week and half just to use to get-to-and-from the airport and Hotel.

Usually hotels have a free shuttle that can take you from the airport to the hotels. If that isn’t an option, there are usually independent shuttle services that can take you as well which are cheaper than taxis. I believe reservations ahead of time are necessary but at least it will be cheaper and more convenient for your family.

This is My Element DVD

It has taken us 15 years to get to this point and we are more excited now than ever before. This video embodies the hunger and passion that is running through all of our veins. We cant say its been easy getting here but its been a great journey. We have weathered countless hours in airports, rental vans and hotel rooms, and ripped through a ridiculous amount of boards, trucks, wheels and shoes.

Any recommendations for a Houston Airport Hotel?

February 2, 2010 - 10:14 am 2 Comments

Can anyone suggest a good hotel at Houston George Bush Airport please? I have checked the reviews on some selected hotels but they don’t look too good. We are looking for a good standard, clean, friendly hotel. We will be staying there for 2 nights so a pool would be good. Any nice places to eat in the area too would be good. Thanks very much!

Suggest Crowne Plaza Hotel North Greenspoint (About $170/night) or Clarion Inn Bush Intercontinental Airport($80/night), both of them have pool and easy to get transportation

I’m only in LA for one full day I’ve been before and done the Hollywood and Universal studio tours. How can I get from the Raddisson hotel near the airport to see Santa Monica and other interesting beaches. I would also like to see well known racecourses if nearby. I will not have a car.

if the raddison on Airport or Century Blvd you can get on SM #3 (Big blue bus) and that bus will take to 4th. and Colroado in Santa Monica where you can walk the 3 blocks to the Beach (and the pier) for 75 cents

What’s nearby the Holiday Inn Select Toronto Airport hotel?

January 23, 2010 - 7:10 am 3 Comments

Hello! Yet another question ~~ I would like to know if there are any major shopping malls, grocery stores and/or restaurants near the Holiday Inn Select Toronto airport hotel, as I will be there for the next 5-6 weeks for working purposes… my meaning near.. is walking distance, I will not have a car with me! Also, are there any malls like the Pacific Mall nearby as well?
Thanks and any details are appreciated!

Hello Ella again,

You picked a boring place to stay–I mean there isn’t much around there on Dixon Road. If cost was a factor, then okay, stay there.

Why not take the bus #58 east to Lawrence West station more often. From Lawrence West station north up one stop to Yorkdale subway station and visit the Yorkdale Shopping Centre.

You can go south from Lawrence West Station and get off at either Dundas or Queen stations to visit the Eaton Centre, visit the City Hall, and one day when you have time walk west on Queen Street to visit other shops. I suggest walk all the way to Spadina Ave to visit Chinatown. Take the Spadina streetcar north to get to Spadina Subway station. May I suggest one day you get off at Dupont to visit Casa Loma.
Another day get off at Union (see map http://www.canadablooms.com/site/visit/map.htm) to head to to visit the best flower show http://www.canadablooms.com/

Go to One of a Kind show as well: http://oneofakindshow.com/spring08/theshow.php?p=1

Here’s a list of malls to visit which are all next to a subway station (no bus required)
