Bamboo King Coverlet

Hidden deep in the Adirondacks near Saranac Lake, we unearthed a boutique resort so private, opulent and indulgent that you have to endure a background check to get a reservation. Once the private camp of one of Americas wealthiest industrial families, this exclusive enclave now charges over $3,000 per night for a rustic getaway you have to experience to believe. The food is five star, the accommodations Adirondack-style yet outrageously lavish, while the guests prefer their privacy. And the sheets are 100% bamboo fiber. The secret is bamboos natural-hydrophilic quality the same water-loving trait that causes bamboo plants to grow a startling 12-18 a day in tropical rain forests! Our sheets 250-count twill weave still lets air circulate, while bamboos unmatched natural wicking advantage gently coaxes moisture away from your skin while you sleep. What is the best way to get a hotel from an airport without using a rental car?

February 9, 2010 - 7:56 pm 12 Comments

My wife and I are planning a trip to Orlando. We want to visit all Disney Parks and Seaworld. I found a Hotel that gives free shuttles to all those destinations, but the Hotel is like 20 miles away from the airport. I don’t want to pay for a rental car for a week and half just to use to get-to-and-from the airport and Hotel.

Usually hotels have a free shuttle that can take you from the airport to the hotels. If that isn’t an option, there are usually independent shuttle services that can take you as well which are cheaper than taxis. I believe reservations ahead of time are necessary but at least it will be cheaper and more convenient for your family.

Luxury Accommodation in Grandby, Colorado?

February 9, 2010 - 7:56 pm 1 Comment

My anniversary is coming up, and my husband and I both really like Grandby. However, we want a luxury hotel, not some cabin. Does anyone know of any?

Granby is a pretty ordinary town, not a big tourist attraction. Inexpensive motels, no luxury hotels. Your best bet for a hotel would be Winter Park, maybe 20 miles south of Granby. There are some there, although many fancy accomodations in Winter Park are condos, rather than a classic hotel. The Claddagh Bed and Breakfast and the Zephyr Mountain Lodge (condos, but in a resort with restaurants, etc.) deserve consideration for a fancy anniversary.

The fanciest accomodations near Granby are guest ranches, C Lazy U Guest Ranch, Drowsy Water Ranch and King Mountain Ranch. These are not just cabins (although some accomodations are in cabins), they are fancy guest ranches with good accomodatons, facilities, and food. No doubt they have websites you can check out.
